Pos Laju Terms and Conditions

The following sets forth the terms and conditions governing the delivery services offered by Pos Laju.

By employing the services offered by Pos Laju, you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1.  Claims

 

Claims for lost or damaged items delivered by Pos Laju must be made according to the following conditions:

  • Claims must be submitted in writing.
  • Claims made must be received by Pos Laju within 30 days from the date the item is posted.
  • Claims must be sent or submitted to the nearest Pos Laju Counter.

2. Extent of Pos Laju’s Liability

 

Pos Laju’s liability for loss or damage to items delivered is limited to the following amount or whichever is lower:

 

The actual value of the document or a maximum of RM100.00 of the lost or damaged document;

 

The actual value of the merchandise or a maximum of RM300.00 for the lost or damaged merchandise.

3.  Delays

 

Pos Laju will make every effort to deliver your items according to its standards and quality of service. However Pos Laju is not liable for any delay as a result of delivery made to outside delivery areas.

4. Circumstances Beyond Pos Laju’s Control

  • An “Act of God” for example includes earthquake, cyclone, storm or flood.
  • “Force Majure” for example includes war, plane crash or embargo.
  • Non-compliance with the requirements of the Postal Rules.

Postal Rules

i. Parcels have to be properly wrapped and secured to minimize damage or destruction.

 

ii. Glass or breakable objects must be wrapped with bubble-pack sheets or polystyrene chips to prevent from causing damage to such objects.

 

iii. All breakable or fragile items must be labeled with the “FRAGILE” stickers.

5.  Consequential Damages

 

Pos Laju is not liable for any of the following, whether in contract or in any from of civil action, including negligence even if it is Pos Laju’s fault, consequential or special damages or losses, other indirect losses and/or breach of other contracts.

 

6. Prohibited Acts

 

Sending of cash through Pos Laju is strictly prohibited. Pos Laju is not liable for any loss suffered due to loss of cash sent through Pos Laju.

 

7. Inquiries

 

All inquiries regarding Pos Laju items should be made within 30 days from the date the item is posted.

 

8. Important Notices          

i.  Pos Laju’s last collection time: 4 p.m. on workdays.       

   

ii. Notice required to be given to P os Laju before collection is made:  at least 2 hours before collection time.

 

iii. The Pos Laju service is not available on every first Saturday of the month.
